About One Voice
One Voice is a Political Action Committee that is committed to electing progressive candidates to Congress and to changing the way that our political system works by engaging communities and individuals who have traditionally been excluded from the political process.
On September 14th, 2001, One Voice’s Honorary Chair, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, was the lone voice in Congress who opposed the Bush administration's call for unchecked war making authority.
Today, there are millions of Americans who stand with Barbara Lee in calling for change, and One Voice is designed to bring these voices together to make sure they are heard loud and clear.
By engaging and taking effective political action on the issues that progressives care about, we are building a network of committed supporters who will elevate our priorities and help truly progressive candidates beat out better funded status quo-defending candidates.
By working in communities of color and engaging with young people, we are changing the face of politics by empowering communities that have historically been marginalized from the political process, giving voice to tens of millions of Americans who are rarely heard in Washington.
In this way, we seek to unite progressive Americans into One Voice that will effectively fight for the changes our country so desperately needs.
